Open access publication of celestinesque interest

As usual, the Centro Virtual Cervantes has made the conference proceedings of the VI Congreso Internacional Juan Ruiz, Arcipreste de Hita, y el Libro de buen amor «Mujer, saber y heterodoxia: Libro de buen amor, La Celestina y La Lozana andaluza» available online. There are several contributions of celestinesque interest:

CFP: II Congreso Internacional del CELPYC (New York, 9-11 of June 2022)

I was sure I had already published this information, but it seems that I was wrong: the 2nd International Congress of the CELPYC (Círculo de Estudios de la LIteratura Picaresca y Celestinesca) –the first in person– will take place at The City College University of New York the days 9, 10 and 11 of June of 2022.

Despite my mistake, the good news are that the call for proposals is still open –and will be– until the 15th of February 2022. That is still three weeks of time to submit your proposals, so, what are you waiting for!

This call is open to proposals on any aspect of celestinesque and picaresque literature in any of the following formats: paper proposal, roundtable proposal and panel proposal. All submissions are made via an online form, but there are individual procedures for submitting to panels looking for participants, which can be read here. Be careful! Some of these panels have their own deadlines, so that you should be checking their particular conditions.

Celestinesca 45 is out!

Issue 45 of Celestinesca is out and I did not want to leave 2021 without announcing it in the blog. As this year I will not be making a balance of the past twelve months, the best way to close 2021 is with these six articles of celestinesque interest, ranging from María Jesús Lacarra and Ana Milagros Ruiz Jiménez’s identification of an unknown edition with the imprint “Sevilla, 1502” to Marlen Bidwell-Steiner’s review of the motif of blindness.

The full issue it open access at the official website of Celestinesca.
