CFP: III International Conference of CELPYC (18th-20th of June 2025, Universidad de Cantabria)

The Círculo de Estudios de las Literaturas Picaresca y Celestinesca (CELPYC) has issued the CFP for its 3rd International Conference, which will be taking place in Santander (Spain), at the Universidad de Cantabria, between the 18th and the 20th of June 2025. It can be downloaded here or read at the conference’s official website, section “Circulares”.

This conference is a great opportunity for meeting active researchers in the fields of celestinesque and picaresque literature. The fees are moderate and the different economic circumstances of students, PhD candidates and scholars from the global South have been taken into account, as well. There will also be some travel- and fee-grants for students based at American universities and, for those who cannot afford travelling to Santander, the option of participating on-line is available, which has become unusual in post-COVID19 conferences.

CFP: II Congreso Internacional del CELPYC (New York, 9-11 of June 2022)

I was sure I had already published this information, but it seems that I was wrong: the 2nd International Congress of the CELPYC (Círculo de Estudios de la LIteratura Picaresca y Celestinesca) –the first in person– will take place at The City College University of New York the days 9, 10 and 11 of June of 2022.

Despite my mistake, the good news are that the call for proposals is still open –and will be– until the 15th of February 2022. That is still three weeks of time to submit your proposals, so, what are you waiting for!

This call is open to proposals on any aspect of celestinesque and picaresque literature in any of the following formats: paper proposal, roundtable proposal and panel proposal. All submissions are made via an online form, but there are individual procedures for submitting to panels looking for participants, which can be read here. Be careful! Some of these panels have their own deadlines, so that you should be checking their particular conditions.
